At the World Congress Against Fascism, Neofascism and Other Similar Expressions in Caracas, pro-Palestinian activist Hindu Anderi, in an interview for the Venezuelan Television (VTV) program 360, denounced the influence of Zionism and fascism on social media against Venezuela and stated that this movement is behind various disinformation campaigns and online attacks targeting the country.
During her speech, Anderi stressed the importance of including the term “Zionist” in the Law Against Fascism, Neofascism and Similar Expressions being discussed in the National Assembly. She also proposed the creation of an international anti-fascist and anti-Zionist network to expose and combat Zionism in all its forms. According to the activist, it is essential to create spaces for research and constant political struggle to confront this threat.
Anderi also stressed that Zionism does not only affect Venezuela, but is present in other countries such as Haiti and Brazil, where threats and destabilizing actions have been recorded. “To eradicate fascism, it is necessary to first confront Zionism, which is considered the main promoter of these ideologies in the region.”
Finally, the activist stressed that this World Congress strengthens the unity of leftist movements in the global arena. “Our purpose is to save humanity, not to destroy it as fascism does.” In addition, she proposed that the congress officially declare itself anti-fascist and recognize Venezuela as a leader in the fight against fascism.
