The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, celebrated that this Tuesday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 11, the first International Antifascist Congress will be held in Caracas, where communicators, intellectuals and human rights leaders from around the world will debate proposals to stop this scourge that threatens to reappear in several countries around the world.
“Venezuela will be the center of the pre-World Antifascist Congress. A great conglomeration of world leaders and representatives who support the fight against imperialism, colonialism and fascism,” said the head of state, who also assured that Venezuela has the support of the peoples of the world in the fight against imperialism and fascism.
He also referred to the Law against Fascism, Neofascism and Similar Expressions that is being debated in the National Assembly and in this regard, he stated that Venezuela must have severe anti-fascist laws. “Hatred, violence and persecution due to the way of thinking cannot proliferate,” said the national leader.
President Maduro stressed that there are several laws of this type in the world that condemn fascist expressions. In this regard, he gave as an example Germany, where he was told during a previous visit that the Nazi salute was prohibited; or Italy, where it was forbidden to talk about Mussolini’s fascism.
