SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- The Cuban Resistance Assembly (ARC) On Monday, the Cuban regime exposed its complicity and support for Vladimir Putin, which is evident in the participation of Cuban citizens in the invasion of Ukraine.
With the exhibition “Putin’s Cuban Army” at the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) in the capital of that country, Vilnius, the ARC denounces the methods with which the Castro government actively supports the attack on Ukraine.
A statement released by the organization specifies that the exhibition is sponsored by Emanuel Zingeris, a member of the Seimas and signatory of the Act of Independence.
With signs that collect the narrow collaboration of the Havana and Kremlin regime, the sample It links together the events that have highlighted the plot of Cuban participation in the war, fighting on the Russian side.
“It shows the irony that European taxpayers are supporting the funding given to the communist regime in Cuba which sends its troops to murder Europeans,” the ARC acknowledged.
He also noted that since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Cuban communist regime has received 500 million euros from the European Union.
“The exhibition is designed to demonstrate to the press and parliamentarians the reality of the Cuban intervention and its alliance with Russia, which has been ignored by many European leaders,” the statement said.
The ARC, in this regard, urged the government of Lithuania and its Parliament, like Poland and Sweden, to suspend the European Union’s Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation with Cuba and the annual payments of 150 million euros to the Cuban dictatorship.
“Cuba has been a puppet of the Soviet communist regime in Africa and Latin America since Soviet times. The terrible actions of the Havana regime against Cuban democrats in recent years, in particular the sending of thousands of Cubans into the ranks of Putin’s armed forces in the war of occupation to kill Ukrainians, eliminates the possibility of cooperation of the European Union with Cuba in all areas,” Zingeris said.
For his part, Luis Zúñiga, a Cuban diplomat and former political prisoner, spoke on the subject, representing the Cuban Resistance Assembly.
Cease financing of the regime
Also this Monday, the ARC requested in the Senate of Spain the cancellation of the economic subsidy that the European Union (EU) grants to the Havana regime. During the meeting, which was attended by various political leaders, the representatives of the ARC stressed that these funds only contribute to maintaining repression on the Island.
“We are in Spain raising our voices for a Cuba free and to demand the end of the European Community subsidy to the Castro dictatorship,” declared the secretary general of the ARC, Orlando Gutierrez-Boronatduring his speech.
In his speech, the former Cuban political prisoner Jorge Luis Garcia Antunez He harshly criticized the financial support that the Cuban regime receives from Europe. “It is inconceivable that with more than 1,000 political prisoners in Cuba (…) Europe continues to finance the dictatorship and repression on the island,” he stressed.
He added that Havana acts as a “satellite of Russia and Iran,” and that its influence is aimed at “undermining Western democracies,” as seen by its support for the regime of Nicolas Maduroin Venezuela, and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
This is not the only action that the ARC has taken to warn about the regime’s involvement in the war against Ukraine.
Previously, they had sent a letter to the important organization The A21Camping denouncing the trafficking of young Cubans to Russia to incorporate them as soldiers.
The A21Camping It is recognized worldwide for its fight against different forms of abuse, including human trafficking and slavery around the world.
