HAVANA, Cuba. – Residents of the settlement IndayaIn the municipality of Marianao, they captured a thief who had broken into a house to steal in broad daylight.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. this Sunday on the banks of the Quibú River. Most of the residents of Indaya gathered around the criminal, whose hands were tied until the police patrol car arrived. National Revolutionary Police (PNR).
The thief, a young man between 20 and 25 years old, was caught red-handed by one of the residents of the house.
“The guy broke one of the walls of the house, which is made of wood, but things got bad because at that moment one of the people who live in the house arrived and caught him while he was stealing,” said one of Indaya’s neighbors, a witness to the events.
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, also said that at the time of his capture, the thief already had in his backpack a “pair of sports shoes, a stove, some pieces of clothing and 50,000 pesos in national currency.”
After the thief was captured, the neighbors went to the area’s sector chief, who kept him in custody until the police car arrived.
