The security guards identified as Vladimir Jorge Aliaga Poma (36) and Erik Barra Rojas (28) spent the night in the Huancayo police station cell, after being accused of alleged theft of a cell phone from a drunk young man in an irregular intervention, carrying out actions that do not correspond to them.

The victim identified as Fredy Morales (28) said that he was in a state of intoxication in the Orellana passage, near the Mariátegui school, in the province of Huancayo, when he was intervened by two security guards, who carried out the registration of a lead-colored backpack, one of the security guards would have told him that they had to verify the IMEI of his mobile device and took it.
After the irregular intervention, the young man filed a complaint and both security agents were arrested in Moquegua and Arequipa. When asked about the cell phone, they mentioned that they had hit a woman. However, minutes later, the security guard Fernando Taipe De la Cruz (29) appeared with the cell phone, saying that a woman approached him and handed him the equipment.

In this regard, the manager of Citizen Security of the Municipality of Huancayo, Luis Melgar, announced that the security guards have been removed from their posts and reject this type of action. He also explained that the security guards cannot carry out personal searches or ask citizens for their cell phones since it is not their responsibility.
