Members of the Federal Judicial Branch (PJF) who oppose judicial reform reported that today they will guarantee, with a notary public, free access to the central headquarters of the Senate to legislators and employees of that Chamber and will not prevent the work in which it is expected that the minutes will be issued in the Joint Committees on Constitutional Matters and Legislative Studies.

The National Association of Circuit Magistrates and District Judges (Jufed) assured that it has had fluid dialogue with the security staff of the building at Reforma and Insurgentes, and to provide greater certainty to legislators and societyAs an additional measure, a notary public will certify today, once the scheduled mobilizations have concluded, that the accesses will be free.

Regardless, they said they would increase their actions against the ruling, which establishes that ministers of the Court, magistrates and judges will be elected by popular vote, and creates a judicial disciplinary court that will sanction irregularities incurred by judges.

For the fifth consecutive day, protesters continued their protests outside the Senate yesterday, where they set up a camp. In the morning, a small group of around 150 employees was observed concentrated at gates 5 and 6 of the legislative building. However, during the day more workers arrived from Michoacán, Zacatecas and San Luis Potosí, and it is expected that in the early hours of today their presence will be reinforced before the analysis of the minutes begins.

In a document, the Jufed reiterated to the legislators from all parties that even though the workers of the judicial sector are against the reform, Due to its effects on the division of powers, the sessions will not be prevented from taking place.

However, he urged senators of the opposition to put their highest interest in the future of the Republic, and those who decided to join the party bloc in government, to rectify and vote against, considering the historical legacy that they can still star in..

He also asked the leaders of Morena, PT and PVEM to stop vote freely to his senators, since –he indicated– he has received expressions of support from members of those benches.

The organization mentioned that in light of reports that the protests are preventing access to the Senateand for this reason an alternative venue would be proposed for the session, he assured that The presence on all streets and roads has been withdrawn to ensure free passage..

Workers from the PJF who are protesting in front of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies reported that as part of their actions, a group will remain in the building at Reforma and Insurgentes and will maintain their demand that the approval of the judicial reform be stopped. Two marches are expected today that will converge in that legislative building.
