In an electoral assembly, the National Association of Private Clinics and Hospitals (Andeclip) re-elected pediatrician Rafael Mena as president for the 2024-2025 period. However, Dr. Luis Cruz Camacho, son of Antonio Cruz Jiminián, said that the process was marked by inequalities and “disrespect.”
Cruz Camacho, a member of the opposition party “Renovemos Andeclip,” said that during the assembly they were restricted from speaking and that their proposals were not heard. “They did not let us present, speak or propose,” the health professional stressed.
He also stressed that on several occasions they asked Andeclipin writing, messages and calls, the list of registered people who are up to date with their payments to be able to exercise their right to vote, but they never received a response, something that, according to Cruz: “has never happened in history.”

Cruz Camacho attributes this denial of the requested information to the fact that the opposition party of which he is a member “has the possibility of being able to lead that institution with dignity and quality.”
Along the same lines, he insisted that those members of the electoral assembly “have put all the parakeets” to give them the information.
For his part, the re-elected president, Rafael Mena, defended the legitimacy of the process, stating that the convention was held in a democratic manner “and it was what the majority of the people chose,” and consequently, he said that he is fulfilling that mandate.
