Among children under 5 years of age, there are around 10 deaths. The victims come from Río Tambo, Pichanaqui, Tapo, Apata, Pangoa, Comas, Sicaya and Acolla.
In people between 5 and 59 years old, about 6 deaths have been recorded.
Of the total number of victims, according to Diresa Junín, 11 come from Huancavelica, 2 from Lima, 1 from Loreto and 1 from Ucayali.
In the case of hospitalized patients, the majority of admissions occurred in those over 60 years of age, with 397 hospitalized. While in children under 5 years of age, 221 hospitalized patients were registered.
The director of immunizations at Diresa Junín, Lisset Cajahuanca, called on parents to take their children and the elderly to receive the influenza and pneumococcus vaccines that protect against severe forms of the disease.
