The Bolivian national team’s midfield has been affected by five casualties, in relation to the initial list of 27 players called up that Oscar Villegas announced two weeks ago, before the double date of the Qualifiers against Venezuela and Chile.

The first to be left out for the matches against the Vinotinto and the Roja were Boris Cespedes and Adalid Terrazas, for different reasons.

The first one was injured in his team, Yverdon Sport of Switzerland, a couple of days before their trip to Bolivia, while Terrazas left the national team’s training camp because he had to complete the paperwork to travel to Algeria, because he was transferred to the USM Alger club in that country. So both were left out of the qualifying matches this month.

During the match that Bolivia won against Venezuela 4-0, on Thursday, Ramiro Vaca and Hector Cuellar received their second yellow card and were automatically suspended for one date; therefore, they were removed from the Verde.

Henry Vaca also left the national team’s concentration because in the clash against Vinotinto he suffered an injury in the abductor, which left him without a chance of playing for the match against Chile.

In total, Bolivia suffered five casualties in the midfield, which is why coach Oscar Villegas called up two players who play in the middle of the field on Friday: Victor Cuellar from The Strongest and Ervin Vaca from Bolivar.

With those ups and downs, Now Villegas has 24 players at his disposal to visit on Tuesday (17:00 HB) to Chile, for the eighth date of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, which will be played at the National Stadium in Santiago.
