By setting up checkpoints, patrolling vulnerable areas and monitoring the establishments where the most noise is produced, this is how the National Police officers have complied with the call of the director of the National Police, Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, to implement the “Joint and Coordinated Intervention Operation in Priority Sectors of the National District.”
The measure, which is coordinated by the Minister of the Interior and Police, Faride Raful, was implemented from this Friday at five in the afternoon and will remain in place until this Saturday, September 7 at 3:30 in the afternoon.
This mission aims to reinforce security and order. It seeks to establish operational measures to prevent and control criminal actions and avoid high-risk situations. The operation will be deployed throughout the country, in priority areas.
In the National District, the focus will be on the intervention of the sectors of Villa Francisca, Agricultural Villas, Villa Consuelo, Villa Juana, Ensanche La Fe and Cristo Rey.

This joint effort is supported by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Defense (MIDE), the Air Force, the Navy and the Army of the Dominican Republic, as well as the Metropolitan Joint Command.
The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), the Central Prevention Directorate, the Central Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) and the Central Intelligence Directorate (Dintel) will also participate.

Faride Raful, Minister of the Interior and Police, said that there are indicators in the “Heat Map” that alter peace and citizen security throughout the national territory, but especially in the National District and Greater Santo Domingo.
“We want to go out into the streets with all of you to enforce the law and order mandated by the Dominican Constitution,” said the minister, while encouraging the troops to carry out their work with integrity.
