Huancayo: Taxi driver was sentenced to life imprisonment for abusing three girls

The taxi driver identified as Samir Andro Cunyas Chihuan (40), was sentenced to life imprisonment for sexually abusing his neighbors aged 13, 16 and 12, during the years 2022 to 2023 in the district of Sapallanga, province of Huancayo.

The taxi driver’s modus operandi was to keep an eye on the minors’ activities and wait for them to be alone so he could approach them, then grab them by force, cover their mouths and take them to vacant lots to abuse them.

The Senior Deputy Prosecutor, Carlos Jorge Campuzano Carbajal, managed to ratify this sentence in the Court of Appeals, the defendant’s defense was unable to demonstrate to the magistrates conclusive evidence that his client was not responsible for the incriminated acts; therefore, the judges confirmed the life sentence, decided in the first instance.
