Who is Ricardo Trevilla Trejo?

The next head of the Sedena is originally from Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. He was born on January 8, 1961.

His preparation began at the Heroic Military College from where he graduated as a Second Lieutenant of Cavalry.

He has a degree in Military Administration by the Higher School of War and has master’s degrees in Military Administration for Internal Security and National Defense at the National Defense College and in Public Administration at the University of the Valley of Mexico.

He has been active in the Armed Forces for 46 years.

In his nearly five decades in the Armed Forces, Ricardo Trevilla Trejo has been a junior officer, lieutenant, colonel, and Military and Air Attaché attached to the Mexican Embassies in Germany and Poland.

The next head of the Sedena has received multiple decorations, including Military Merit in the rank of Band; Merit in the Campaign Against Drug Trafficking, Distinction for performance of the DN-III-E Plan, as well as for COVID-19.

The next On October 1st he will take office as Secretary of National Defensean institution that will be key for Claudia Sheinbaum’s government, since in addition to the multiple tasks already assigned to them, it will be in charge of the National Guard, if the Congress of the Union approves the transfer to the Sedena.
