Santiago.- The remains of a brother of photographer Wilson Aracena, from the editorial staff of the newspaper Hoy, in this city, who died on Tuesday in New York City, United States, will be brought to the country this Saturday and later laid to rest at the Savica funeral home, near the Cibao stadium.
The death of Luis Manuel Almonte, 52, occurred after losing a tough battle against stomach cancer.
His body will be buried this Sunday at 4:00 p.m., in the El Ingenio cemetery, in this city.
In addition to his parents and siblings, the late Luis Manuel Almonte is survived by his wife Deyaniris Núñez and his children Luiyi, Thaimary, Darlen and Madhelin Almonte Núñez, who were by his side in New York City.
The board of directors of the National Union of Press Workers (SNTP), Santiago branch, family and friends expressed their sorrow for the death of the brother of photojournalist Wilson Aracena, solidarity that extends to his other brothers such as Vinicio Almonte, resident in the United States and other relatives who live in Spain.
