The head of the Civil Registry Office of Huancayo, Iván Eguiluz Soto, said that apart from registering births, DNI procedures and deaths, it also has the service of celebrating civil marriages, since couples request it daily. “This year we held more than 120 weddings in the municipal wedding hall,” he said.

Couples who want to formalize and establish a family can go to the Civil Registry office, which still has available dates and spaces, by simply presenting the birth certificate, the prenuptial health certificate, the certificate of being single for both persons, and developing the corresponding payment rights. “We are close to holding the official launch of the Mass Civil Marriage 2024 that will take place on November 30, an event that the commune organizes annually,” he said.
Meanwhile, the head of the Civil Registry of Chilca, Samuel Ticllacuri, said that, to date, he has 180 registered marriages. “In the case of ordinary marriages, fees are paid; for example, from Monday to Friday it costs S/130, on Saturdays S/230, and on Sundays S/260; if the registrar goes to a location, the transfer fee is charged,” he said.
In addition, he announced that the Kuyanakuy Chilca 2024 mass civil marriage will be on October 19, and registrations in the civil registry area from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 5:45 pm “They only need to present the birth certificate of the contracting parties, a medical certificate of the contracting parties, two witnesses, a copy of the ID, and the registration is completely free. Marriage is important to give legal security to the couple,” he concluded.
