“Not all of them will necessarily (continue to serve),” he said on RPP, where he also noted that it was part of the oil company’s reform.

Regarding the possibility of the entry of the questioned former Minister of Energy and Mines, Oscar Vera, the Prime Minister assured that for the moment “there has been no discussion” on this issue. In this regard, he pointed out that at this time it is not convenient to think about a new manager because the administrative management will be in charge of the PMO.

“We think that with the same people we will continue doing the same things and making the same mistakes. We believe that we need to refresh the management so that it has a different vision,” Adrianzén stressed.

It should be noted that the current board of directors of Petroperú is made up of Oliver Stark (president), Germán Boza, David Tuesta, Carlos Villalobos and Pedro Gamio. In addition, Antonio Monsalva is the director representing workers.

They have received support from the private sector as well as from the Minister of Energy and Mines, Rómulo Mucho, and the Minister of Economy and Finance, José Arista.

RESTRUCTURING

On the other hand, Gustavo Adrianzén pointed out that part of the restructuring aims to strengthen the marketing and distribution of fuel. He also pointed out that they are going to give a guarantee to the oil company.

He also indicated that what happens with the Petroperú building in San Isidro (Lima) must be related to the restructuring of the company. In this regard, he said that they could eventually recommend that the company’s units be sold or managed.
