Vinto's 'U' achieved its first victory in the Professional Division at the expense of Wilstermann

This Sunday, January 20, will be a historic day for the ‘U’ de Vinto, since he obtained his first victory in the Professional Division of Bolivian soccer. The university students who achieved promotion after being crowned champions of the 2021 Simón Bolívar Cup, celebrated their first victory on the third date of this season at the expense of Wilstermann, whom they defeated 2-0, at the Municipal Stadium in Sacaba.

The match started at full speedbecause just 2 minutes after the initial whistle of the Cochabamba referee Hostin Prado, the aviators were about to open the account and a minute later it was the university students who were close to scoring the first.

That started made me think that it would be a great match, but little by little it was lowering in intensity, although both were looking to open the scoring.

The reds had a good chance with Andrés Chávez, at 28′. The Argentine took a left-footed shot that went close to the goal defended by Raúl Olivares.

The ‘U’ did not let it be and hit in the final stretch of the first part, since when added time was played, Andrés Llano (45′) was in charge of decreeing the 1-0. With that result they went to rest.

Just started the second period, Llano was about to convert the second. Wilstermann’s defense was once again inattentive and the Colombian took the opportunity to connect a header that almost ended in a goal.

But the 2-0 would become a reality for Vinto’s ‘U’ in the 69th minute and it came through Iván Huayhuata through the execution of a penalty kick. The midfielder sent his shot to the left side of José Escobar, while the goalkeeper chose the other stick.

The maximum penalty had been charged due to a foul that Carlos Enrique Áñez committed against the humanity of Yerco Vallejos. At that point Wilstermann was the one who was wearing down, but Universitario was more effective.

After the goal, the same trend was maintainedwith the aviator team taking the initiative, but their rival was closer to third.

Universitario celebrated their first victory in the tournament, while Wilstermann added his second consecutive loss, staying behind in the table of positions of group B.
