Enrique Márquez said he will return to the TSJ once the judicial vacation ends

Enrique Márquez revealed that there are currently no fluid conversations with the Unitary Platform, highlighting the need to work together

The former presidential candidate Enrique Marquez On Wednesday, September 4, the president revealed that, once the judicial vacation is over, he will return to the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to reintroduce an appeal for review of the sentence issued by the Electoral Chamber in favor of President Nicolás Maduro.

Márquez said that work is underway to form a civic movement to support the introduction of this resource in the TSJ.

“We will do it with the people who want to go there and sign the petition. The idea is that the constitutional court can perceive the concern of the population about what happened at the CNE and with the elections,” he said in an interview with journalist Vladimir Villegas.

In this regard, the former rector of the National Electoral Council also stated that he “will go wherever he has to go to defend Venezuelan democracy” in order to defend democracy above all the political conflict that is currently taking place in the country.

He indicated that the movement he is promoting wants to work in defense of the Constitution, laws and institutions; clarifying that this position is not assumed by the Unitary Platform, revealing that there are no fluid conversations with this opposition coalition at a time when, in his opinion, work must be done on a shared strategic vision.

Enrique Márquez, when asked about his alleged kidnapping by state security forces, warned that everyone in Venezuela lives in fear and fear and said that in his case, it was something “short”; while he dismissed the usefulness of revealing details of what happened.

“What is useful for me is that we are in a very complicated situation in the country, in which we must all call for an end to the persecution, because that path does not lead us anywhere,” he said.
