Jesús Superlano, leader of PPT-APR in Barquisimeto, Lara state, denounced a few days ago that he was a victim of persecution by the government of Nicolás Maduro
The general secretary of the Patria Para Todos (PPT) faction, led by Rafael Uzcátegui, after being prosecuted, denounced this Wednesday, September 4, the arrest of Jesús Superlano, leader of this organization in Barquisimeto, Lara state.
Uzcátegui made the complaint on his social networks. He commented that after being arrested, Superlano said he was a victim of persecution by police officers. “Just now, the leader of the PPT-APR Jesús Superlano “Chinolo” was arrested in Barquisimeto, who has denounced police harassment on several occasions,” wrote the secretary.
According to the spokesperson for Patria Para Todos, Jesús Superlano was arrested by officers from the Barquisimeto municipal police.
Superlano was a deputy of the Legislative Council of the state of Lara. Before his arrest, he accused Nicolás Maduro’s government in X of persecuting anyone who did not support his government.
“While Maduro continues his brutal attack against anyone who does not support his corrupt government, Venezuelans are paid 130 bolivars. In Venezuela, there are more people extorted for protesting than there are people imprisoned for the same cause,” he wrote on September 3.
Regarding the incident, former constituent María Alejandra Díaz explained that “the versions indicate that he was taken from the surroundings of the Barquisimeto passenger terminal, where he was parked with his vehicle, which is also his daily means of support. He was taken to the parking lot of the Barquisimeto municipal police, we do not know the reasons for his arrest. So far there is no further information on the matter, however, we request respect for due process and the presumption of innocence of our colleague,” she reported. Firefly Effect.
Patria para Todos was intervened by the Supreme Court of Justice in 2020 and was given a board led by the current national deputy of 2020, Ilenia Medina.
