Coffee production grew 20% in August and maintains its upward trend

The National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC) recalled that despite the climatic variability that has affected the agricultural sector, During August, grain production increased by 20%, maintaining the growth trend in this area.

In detail, during August the coffee growers produced a total of 1.04 million 60-kilogram bags of green coffee, compared to 872,000 recorded in the same month in 2023.

According to Germán Bahamón, general manager of the Federation, in the current year, that is, from January to August, Coffee production increased by 17% to 8.02 million bags, compared to 6.84 million produced in the same period last year.
