Veterinarian Beto Hancco Arenas (33) was found dead in the Kotarsaya lagoon, in the jurisdiction of the Asillo district, Azángaro province. The motorcycle he was driving went off the road on the Interoceanic Highway.
According to investigations, on Tuesday afternoon, the small vehicle driven by the unfortunate professional went off track and ended up in the irrigation canal, near the Inampo intake, on the Progreso-San Antón population center stretch.
Relatives and police found the wrecked vehicle in the water of the canal, then took it to the police station for the proceedings. However, they did not locate the driver, so they began an intense search.
On Wednesday morning, relatives and residents continued their search, finding the lifeless body in the Kotarsaya lagoon. “The body was probably dragged by the water to this lagoon,” added a resident.

According to reports, the veterinarian was accompanied by his friend named Marco Antonio, who was saved alive by the transporters who were passing through the area. He said that the unfortunate driver could not control the vehicle due to excessive speed. “After the accident I lost consciousness, I do not remember where the motorcycle and my friend fell.
