University authorities, students, university counselors, student representatives and members of academic communities have spoken out in favor of the reform of the Judicial Branch. In a public letter they denounce the disinformation campaign to try to sabotage its debate in Congress and point out the illegal interference
of members of said power in the ongoing legislative process.
They announced that they will accompany the discussion of this reform in Congress, which is expected to last from September 2 to 6, with a day of activities and peaceful demonstrations in favor of the amendment, which includes information days at public and private universities, with forums, assemblies, marches and rallies.

The document, which is circulating on social media, highlights its support for the reform, but also its rejection of various considerations that have been denounced by those who oppose the constitutional modification of the Judiciary.
They demonstrate against the stigmatization of young people under the argument that their youth undermines their ability to dispense justice. It is false that the new judges will not be required to have experience or be excellent professionals.

The group Jóvenes por la Reforma recognises the need to strengthen the Professional Career Service, both in the Judiciary and in other public institutions. However, it stresses that the current one “is marked by nepotism, cronyism or the politics of ‘the lever’”.
They are in favor of strengthening the judicial career, through the autonomy of the Federal School of Judicial Training, and the independence of a Judicial Power that, they assure, It is currently held hostage by economic and political interests, both regional and local, which hinder the prompt and expeditious administration of justice.
