Cabello criticizes Colombian foreign minister after organizing meeting to discuss Venezuela

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, also announced the formation of a “Committee of victims of fascism.” He indicated that on Thursday, September 5, the group will hold its first meeting.

Cabello, who is also the Minister of the Interior and Justice, made several accusations against Murillo on the night of September 4. He said that the Colombian works for the United States government.

“There is a man there, Murillo. They betray even their own origins by their level of surrender, submission. He thinks he can come and stick his nose in here in Venezuela being the foreign minister of the United States of Colombia, he is an official of the US government. He stressed that any issue in Venezuela must be addressed and resolved within the country. He emphasized that the government of Nicolás Maduro will not tolerate interference from other leaders. Cabello asked the Colombian diplomat to focus on addressing the problems of his country.

Earlier, Luis Gilberto Murillo said that the meeting he announced last Monday, September 2, between the presidents of Colombia, Brazil and Mexico with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is “planned,” but that they are waiting for a “reconfirmation” for it to materialize.

According to Murillo, the meeting, which will aim to address the country’s political situation following the presidential elections on July 28, has been officially planned, but they hope it will materialize.

On August 4, the diplomat explained that Colombian President Gustavo Petro called for a meeting with his Mexican and Brazilian counterparts, Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, respectively, which was confirmed but is now awaiting reconfirmation.

On the other hand, the leader of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, also announced the formation of a “Committee of victims of fascism.” He indicated that the group will hold its first meeting on Thursday, September 5.

“We have to be organized for everyone,” he said, while asserting that they will denounce the damage caused by “fascism” throughout the world.
