Proinversion awarded 58 projects under the modality Works for Tax (OxI) between January and August for an amount of S/2,351 million, the highest since this mechanism was launched 16 years ago.

These projects include the digital transformation and data processing center at the headquarters of the regional government of Ica, the modernization of the emblematic school “La Victoria de Ayacucho” in Huancavelica and the improvement and expansion of hospital health services in Víctor Ramos Guardia in Huaraz.
In this regard, the Director of Decentralized Investments at Proinversión, Denisse Miralles, stated that the result demonstrates the coordinated work being done to promote OxI.
“The mechanism of Works for Taxes “It has become the most effective, transparent and fastest way to execute public investments,” he said.
In addition, he revealed that in the eight months of analysis, 37 new companies and 17 public entities from 10 regions have used this modality for the first time.
It should be noted that in the period 2009 – 2024 (until August), 566 projects have been awarded for S/9,897 million in education, health, transportation, sanitation and citizen security that benefited 22 million Peruvians.
