Para-cyclist Esteban Goddard took part today in the individual time trial event, category C2, where he covered the 14.1km in a time of 24:01.55, to finish in tenth position at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
It was the third test for the native of Chiriquí in this edition of Paris, having already seen action in two track events.
The gold medal went to Frenchman Leaute Alejandro, the silver to Belgian Vromant Ewoud and the podium was completed by Australian Darren Hicks.
The 14.1km route allowed paracyclists to cover the route from Clichy-sous-Bois to Coubron, before reaching Seine-et-Marne.
The riders then returned to Clichy-sous-Bois, taking the “strategic road” that runs along the Bois de Bernouille forest, and faced the last demanding section of the course, the Clichy-sous-Bois hill, with a positive gradient.
Esteban Goddard’s next event will be the road race on Saturday, September 7th starting at 2:00 am Panama time.
