Junín: Mother disappears after shopping in Concepción

Juana Modesta Quiñonez (54) disappeared after going shopping in the district of Santa Rosa de Ocopa, province of Concepción, at approximately 3:00 p.m. on August 22. Ten days have passed and her family still does not know anything about her whereabouts.

The woman was wearing an open black linen sweater, a black sweatshirt and white sneakers. According to her relatives, the day after her disappearance they filed a complaint at the police station. However, so far they have not received any support from the police in the search. “They told us that disappearances are common and we should wait,” said one of her sons.

On the other hand, Juana’s husband clarified that there was no conflict within the family, nor health problems, she was a housewife and they did not notice any change in attitude, up to now they have not found the reason for her disappearance and they are asking for support from the district municipality to help them in the search.
