New foreign minister on Chavista dictatorship: "Venezuela’s problems must be solved by Venezuelans"

Peru was the first country to recognize Edmundo González Urrutia as the elected president of Venezuela, after denouncing the electoral process as fraudulent. However, with the recent change in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country’s position regarding this decision is contrary.

“It is an absolutely delicate issue, it is a firm, democratic position in favor of “Venezuela’s problems must be solved by Venezuelans”, he said after being asked about the electoral process in that country.

The official thanked Dina Boluarte for considering him for the position. “I feel very honored by the opportunity that the president has given me”, Schialer noted.

At another point, he spoke about his predecessor, Javier Gonzalez Olaechea.

“The president gave us all the tasks to always keep the name of Peru high,” Schialer began by saying.

“Javier González Olaechea is in excellent health,” he said after being asked about the former foreign minister.
