Despite the state of emergency, insecurity continues in the city of Juliaca. A group of criminals, armed with firearms, after following a police officer, shot a driver and stole his truck.
According to initial investigations, the thieves followed the truck with license plate AEO-756 for several blocks. Upon reaching the corner of Lambayeque and Conima streets, the door to the victim’s home, the criminals hit and shot the driver in the back when he tried to resist. They then drove off with the vehicle in an unknown direction.
Police said they are working to identify the criminals who carried out the robbery using security cameras.
The victims are asking the authorities to speed up their investigations to locate and capture the criminals. They also asked the public to provide information on the location of the unit, as they are offering a reward.
