Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil said that every statement and declaration made by U.S. government officials against the country “generates a payment in dollars” from “corrupt lobbies” in Washington.
The Foreign Minister made the statement on Tuesday in a post on his Telegram channel, in which he dismissed a statement by the spokesman for the US State Department, Matthew Miller, who takes sides in defense of the country’s extremist opposition.
“Every message on social media and every statement from US officials against Venezuela generates a payment in dollars from corrupt lobbies, which have allocated millions to the pockets of authorities who enrich themselves with every nonsense they throw into the void, with the aim of feeding a network of lies against our State,” argued Gil.
He also said that US officials had “already raised enough money” and urged them to look for “other sources of income.”
“Enough of this deception, here we will continue on our path free and sovereign, you know that very well,” he emphasized.
