Journalist and writer Xico Sá is the guest on the program DR com Demori, which will air this Tuesday (3), at 11 pm, on TV Brazil. In the conversation, the interviewee talks, among other topics, about his origins in the interior of Ceará and the launch of his new book of chronicles Dog pissing in chaoswhich had its title taken from a poem by Carlos Drummond de Andrade.
In the book, the author addresses the political period between 2013 and 2024 from the perspective of a columnist. “It is a book told by a waiter who saw the changes in bar conversation, the first conversations, so it is a columnist’s perspective. A perspective of the night, the nocturnal report of what was happening in the world of politics during the day. It is the Brazilian chronicle”, he says.
The journalist also highlights his coverage of the disappearance of Paulo César Siqueira Cavalcante Farias, known as PC Farias, head of Fernando Collor de Mello’s election campaign in the 1990s. Xico Sá also talks about his connection with Manguebeat, a Brazilian counterculture musical movement that emerged in Pernambuco.
