Antifascist Congress will create new doctrine

During a coordination meeting on Tuesday for the World Congress against Fascism and Similar Expressions, which will be held in Caracas on September 11 and 12, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, said that this activity has great relevance in the framework of the battle that Venezuela is waging, both nationally and internationally.

In this regard, he pointed out that Congress has the mission of becoming a “very strong international sounding board” for President Nicolás Maduro and leftist movements.

At the meeting, the head of Foreign Affairs explained that this Congress aims not only to denounce “this fascist current,” but also to build “a new doctrine for this stage of struggle and progress of the Bolivarian Government, which practically always puts itself at the forefront.”

For his part, the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, reported that so far more than 200 representatives from around the world have confirmed their attendance at the event.

President Nicolás Maduro launched this initiative in which he requested to invite “thinkers, intellectuals, artists, social leaders and political leaders from Africa, Asia, Europe, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.”

In order to fine-tune proposals for the creation of an anti-fascist front.
