Wilstermann returned to training after five days of stoppage

The Wilstermann team of players returned to practice this Tuesday, after completing five days of strike, as a pressure measure to collect part of the economic debt that the club has with each of them.

On Thursday the team stopped training, demanding that at least their April salaries be paid and after several days of negotiations, the players finally returned to the orders of coach Eduardo Villegas on Tuesday.

The staff receives only a percentage of April’s salary, not the total as was the wish of the players.

“Today it was decided to return to work, because we need it, because our physical condition demands it and we need to be in the best possible shape for the next match,” Santiago Echeverría told the media.

For his part, the Uruguayan Rodrigo Amaral also expressed his concern due to the difficult economic situation that the players of the Aviador team are going through.

“It’s been many months, we have family, There are colleagues who do not have anything to eat.…The mind also plays a role, you don’t think about football but about how you are going to get ahead,” said the Uruguayan.

Wilstermann currently occupies sixth place in the standings of the Clausura tournament, with 19 points, eight less than the leader Bolívar. Their next match will be against Universitario de Vinto, on September 13, on the 14th date.
