Maduro spent an hour denouncing "false records" without showing any of the "true" ones

Nicolás Maduro denounced several Venezuelan digital media outlets for being manipulative on his Monday show. He said that SuchWhichEl Pitazo, Efecto Cocuyo and other independent media are financed by USAID to “impose their reality”

President Nicolás Maduro; Samuel Moncada, representative of Venezuela to the United Nations; and the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, dedicated an hour of the night of this Monday, September 2, in the program With Maduro + to denounce that the minutes presented by the opposition after the elections of July 28 “are false”; however, they did not present a single document that validates the electoral result presented by the National Electoral Council (CNE) or any minutes that were delivered to their witnesses.

In this conversation, no one made reference to the fact that the deadline given by law to publish the disaggregated data had expired, and much less did they mention the Electoral Gazette, in which they had until last Thursday, August 29, to publish the data, according to the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

According to Moncada, the Venezuelan opposition did not participate in the elections with the aim of winning them, “but to destroy them” because he said they do not recognize the institutions of the State.

For his part, Jorge Rodríguez insisted that the United States government and its “military-industrial apparatus” were the main financiers of universities in the world that analyzed the data presented by the opposition and that have supported its validity, declaring Edmundo González, the candidate of the Unitary Platform, the winner of the presidential elections.

In this regard, they also referred to several media outlets, identified as reliable sources of information to reduce disinformation, and accused them of being media maintained by the US to manipulate.

“They are the network of manipulation, SuchWhich imagine yourself, The Whistle, Firefly Effect “They are, because I have seen each of the documents that you have presented (to Samuel Moncada), portals or network media founded, financed and maintained by USAID, by the United States government, and they have positioned them and then put them in a network situation so that they would be the portals that would impose the manipulation at the precise moment, be it in a massive blackout, in an attack like the 29th and 30th of July; they were imposing their parallel reality,” Maduro explained.

However, it is necessary to remind Nicolás Maduro and his other officials that SuchWhich It is a medium with 24 years of existence and was founded by Teodoro Petkoff with the intention of “influencing in some way the development of events to defend the democratic spaces existing in the country,” he wrote in April 2018.

In an article that year, Petkoff said that since he did not have sufficient resources to found a newspaper, he looked for support from businessman Hans Neumannwho put up the same amount of money as Teodoro (600 million bolivars) to get the project going.

These statements by Maduro against these Venezuelan media were rejected by the National Union of Press Workers (SNTP).
