“If the prosecution calls me, I will go. The prosecution has asked me to provide evidence that I was not there; if they ask me, I will give it to them,” he said at his weekly press conference at the institution.
The president mentioned that he is willing to go to the FGR to testify when asked to clarify where he was on July 25.
“As the president (Andrés Manuel López Obrador) said, we have to go and testify before the authorities when they ask us to. I’m not even thinking about the gubernatorial jurisdiction. They tell me and I go there. I have no problem with that,” said Rocha Moya.
The state leader reiterated that he was not in the state on the day Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada and Joaquín Guzmán López were arrested.
“It is a lie that I was there on July 25 with the issue that Mr. Zambada was taken away and that Joaquín Guzmán participated. Whoever says that is lying,” he emphasized.
