The Social Security Bank (BPS) will begin paying pensions and retirement benefits for the month of August starting on Tuesday, September 3, for those beneficiaries who receive their money through deposits in bank accounts or through electronic money instruments such as Midinero, De Anda, Prex, and OCA BlueThis method will be available for residents in Montevideo as well as in the interior of the country.
From the Wednesday September 4thbeneficiaries will be able to collect their pensions in cash at a wide network of authorized locations, following the schedule established by the BPS. These payment points are distributed in various locations in Montevideo and the interiorensuring equal access for all users. In addition to deposits into bank accounts, BPS will also begin making payments at its central offices in Montevideo from Tuesday, and at branches in the interior, from Wednesday.

For beneficiaries who wish to confirm whether they have pending payments to receive from the BPS, they can go to the main BPS building in Montevideo or to any establishment in the network authorized to collect these benefits. These payment points include establishments such as Abitab, Anda, Redpagos, and El Dorado supermarkets.
Those who live outside the capital have decentralized collection points in their respective localities. These points are also part of the same payment network, ensuring the same accessibility for all beneficiaries in the country. The BPS provides a detailed list of all payment points, both in the capital and in other regions. Consulting this list ensures that all beneficiaries know where to go in their locality to receive their payments.
In addition, beneficiaries who have a personal BPS user have the advantage of accessing their receipts and payment details at any time through online services. This option is convenient for reviewing payment information and avoiding unnecessary delays. For those who do not yet have a personal user, the BPS facilitates their application at decentralized payment locations. All that is required is to present the identity card and provide an email address to complete the registration.
