Behind the death of the former Minister of the Interior and senator, Eduardo Bonomi, political actors from various parties expressed their condolences and remembered him on social networks: The senator died of cardiorespiratory arrest last morning. Several politicians remembered him for “military to the end”, since this Saturday Bonomi had participated in a political act for the Yes to the referendum against 135 articles of the Law of Urgent Consideration.

The senator of the Broad Front, Daniel Caggiani, maintained: “We were militated until the last day. Arguing, fighting, but always looking a little further and favoring the popular perspective. Another one who left the bowl on the stake. There will be a homeland for all”.

Esteban Valenti recalled that he knew the senator many years ago. “He had a really difficult task, as is now confirmed every day. He dignified the National Police,” he indicated.

Oscar Andrade expressed that this is “a sad Sunday”. “Companero Eduardo Bonomi left us. Susana, her family and her friends, a big hug,” he shared.

The senator of the National Party, Sebastián Da Silva, said: “Senator Eduardo Bonomi passed away, to his family, his co-religionists and friends, a fraternal greeting. Rest in peace”.

The secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado, expressed: “Senator Eduardo Bonomi passed away. My respects and condolences to his family, the Broad Front and the MPP”

The senator of the National Party, Graciela Bianchi, added: “In the face of death, silence and respect. My condolences to the family, friends and political sectors to which Eduardo Bonomi belonged.”

The news of the senator’s death was communicated by the Popular Participation Movement (MPP)
