This Sunday, minutes after 9:30 in the morning, the pretrial detention hearing against Nicanor Boluarte Zegarra and five others investigated for the alleged crime of criminal organization.
Judge Richard Augusto Concepción Carhuancho, in charge of the First National Preparatory Investigation Court, is evaluating the Prosecutor’s request for 36 months of preventive detention against the brother of President Dina Boluarte and the other defendants.
The other people under investigation are lawyer Mateo Castañeda, Jorge Luis Ortiz Marreros, Zenovia Griselda Herrera Vásquez and brothers Jorge and Noriel Chingay Salazar.
Lawyer Nicanor Boluarte is being investigated for the case known as “The Waykis in the Shadow,” in which the prosecution accuses him of alleged interference in the appointment of prefects and sub-prefects in the interior of the country.
