The power outage occurred around 4:50 in the morning and in some areas it lasted for more than 15 and 18 hours. This Saturday, August 31, users of the social network X reported that the failures continue in some sectors.
La Urbina reports that they have not had electricity since at least three in the afternoon on Saturday, August 31, the same as in El Paraíso.
In Caracas, in some parts of La Candelaria, Sabana Grande or Bello Monte, electricity was restored around 11:00 pm on August 31, when the mega blackout occurred. The restoration of electricity has not been the same for everyone.
In the Don Luis de Ejido sector, Mérida state, they indicated that they had electricity, but that the Cantv Internet service was down. In La California, in Caracas, users also indicated that they were without this service from the same provider.

In the most favored areas, during the blackout on August 30, electricity was restored at 2:30 p.m., but in places in Maracaibo, Zulia state, people were still in the dark and service was restored at midnight.
The Ve Sin Filtro organization reported that among the cities where electricity service was interrupted this Saturday, August 31, after having shown signs of recovery, were Mérida and Táchira.
Users of the social network X reported that they were without electricity near Playa El Ángel, Pampatar, at around 4:15 pm this Saturday, as well as some sectors of Ciudad Bolívar.
Among the areas where users stated that the service was stable is the northern part of Maracaibo, according to a report until 5:07 pm this Saturday, August 31 and the Mirador del Este de Petare, in Caracas, stable since returning on the afternoon of August 30.
The government claimed that the failure was due to an attack on Guri and that it was “the mother and father” of the attacks, without offering further details or technical information about the interruption, just as it did in March 2019, when the nation experienced a major national blackout, which was repeated twice.
