Samana, DR. – The Government, through the General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (Propeep), developed a set of social actions in the localities Monte Negro and El Catey, from the Sánchez municipality, Samaná, which benefited thousands of people.
The director of the organization, Roberto Ángel Salcedo, led and supervised the days of social inclusion «You First», held at the Francisco del Rosario Sánchez Polytechnic High School, and «Close to You», at the El Catey Secondary School, in Sánchez, Samaná.
Highlighting both days, Roberto Ángel emphasized that with these the Government of President Luis Abinader Its objective is to provide solutions to the most urgent needs of Dominican families living in conditions of extreme poverty and vulnerability, concentrating social services and assistance in one place and thus avoiding their displacement.
He said that through these services the Government benefits from the youngest members of the household, who are children, young people and pregnant women, to the elderly, who also receive food rations, baskets and proteins,
He revealed that with these social events developed by Propeep more than 350 thousand people have benefited in different neighborhoods and towns throughout the country.

During the “You First” and “Close to You” events in the Monte Negro and El Catey sectors of the Sánchez municipality, Roberto Ángel was accompanied by Vice Mayor Miriel Rodríguez; Deputy Carmen Lidia Williams; councilors and Madelen Díaz, director of Dominicana Digna, from Propeep.
Services offered
The state institutions that offered their services on both days were the Ministry of Labor with its Dominican Republic Works program, CONAPE, SENASA, CONADIS, INESPRE, SUPERATE, ADES, the Economic Dining Rooms of the Presidency of the Republic and PROMIPYME, among others.
In addition, guidance and assistance were provided for the registration of late birth declarations, for the management of jobs through the Ministry of Labor, obtaining loans, management of the solidarity pension, health insurance and the card. GET OVER YOURSELF.
Delivery of the “Walk of Colors” at El Factor
In compliance with a broad work agenda this Saturday,
Roberto Ángel Salcedo also handed over to the authorities of the El Factor municipality, in the María Trinidad Sánchez province, other 1,288 square meters of public art with which he brought color, attractions and transformation of urban spaces in this locality.
Among these actions are the Paseo de Los Colores at the Carmen Oneida Cruz Eduardo Educational Center; in the «Flag Square; the renovation of the Juan Pablo Duarte Plaza and the installation of the Photographic Parador in Telanza, at the entrance to the municipality.
The official explained that each of these interventions seek to strengthen the sense of identity and belonging of the communities, “while beautifying and revitalizing the public spaces of El Factor, creating an environment that celebrates cultural heritage as a promising future for the municipality.”
The works of art were created through the “Paseo de los Colores” project, which Propeep develops through the Dominicana Cultural y Creativa program.
