The commercial director of Bumeran Peru, Miguel Bechara, stated that men’s remuneration expectations are growing at a faster pace.
“This difference could be due to factors such as disparities in salary negotiation opportunities, feminized and masculinized sectors in the labor market, or, as recorded by the Bumeran Index, a lower willingness of women to apply for higher-ranking positions,” she said.
She also noted that the report indicates that women represent only 28% of applications for manager or supervisor positions.
Meanwhile, he stated that during July, the job positions that received the highest volume of applications from Peruvians were Administration with 7.63%, followed by Mining/Oil/Gas with 5.42% and Commercial with 5.26%.
