Santo Domingo.- The National Police arrested today a woman who mistreated his daughter verbally in San Francisco de Macorís, an incident that was captured on a video that went viral on social media.
This is Ana Berkis Santos, who was located and captured at her workplace, located in the National District.
She was arrested pursuant to arrest warrant 00470-2024, issued by the judge of the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the Duarte Judicial District. She is accused of allegedly having committed rape under article 396, letters A and B of Law 136-03.
The detainee was immediately transferred to the jurisdiction corresponding judicial authority of the Duarte province, for the corresponding legal purposes.
Police officers from the Deputy Division of the Unit for Attention to Gender Violence, Domestic Violence and Sexual Crimes of the Public Prosecutor’s Office based in the National District participated in the arrest operation.
Action was taken in coordination with the Central Intelligence Directorate (DINTEL) of the National Police.
