5 arrested and 2 killed on Tren del Llano

Five individuals arrested and two killed is the partial result of the so-called Operation Zaraza 2024, aimed at dismantling the criminal gang Tren del Llano and its cells spread across several municipalities in Guárico.

One of the procedures of the aforementioned operation took place in the La Bendición de Dios II sector, Leonardo Infante municipality (Valle de la Pascua), Guárico state, where a confrontation with members of the Tren del Llano Organized Crime Structured Group occurred.

In the aforementioned fight, Miguel de Jesús Seijas Pantoja (Miguelito) was killed. He was in possession of a Smith & Wesson .357 revolver, which was seized, according to a report from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) No. 34.

Also in the municipality of Leonardo Infante but in the rural sector of El Páramo, Conas agents shot dead Victor Machuca (Mata Siete). This subject was with others from the Tren del Llano who fled in the middle of the confrontation. At the scene, the soldiers collected a firearm.

Also in the Coca Cola sector of the aforementioned city of Guariqueña, CONAS officials seized three 16-gauge shotguns, a 20-gauge shotgun and seventy cartridges for 7.62×51 mm caliber rifles. During that procedure, Luis Fernando Rodríguez Álvarez (Luisito), Kemberly Xavier Galindo Cáceres (La Chucky) and Yoel Rafael Páez Campos (Yobelito), members of a cell of the Tren del Llano, were arrested.

Another procedure of Operation Zaraza 2024 was carried out in the El Cinco sector, San José de Guaribe municipality, Guárico state, where a 12-gauge shotgun and thirty-five cartridges for 7.62×51 mm caliber rifles were seized. The aforementioned material was in the possession of Alberto José Jaramillo, who is linked to the Tren del Llano.

And in San Francisco de Macaira, José Tadeo Monagas municipality, a woman was arrested for allegedly providing health services to members of the Tren del Llano.

The detainee was registered as Yosmerlys María Reveron López, from whom 57 cartridges for 7.62×51 mm caliber rifles, two radio transmitters, a telephone set and a medical kit were seized, according to the report of the 34-2 Rural Command Detachment.

It was precisely in San Francisco de Macaira where the leader of the Tren del Llano, Oscar de Jesús Noguera Hernández (El Diente), surrounded an educational institution where 15 soldiers were, demanding that they hand over their firearms. The soldiers resisted and fired shots to repel the siege. This occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, July 30, when the negative leaders of the Tren del Llano carried out a series of violent acts and destroyed the posters of the then candidate Nicolás Maduro.

The detainees will be prosecuted for illegal possession of a firearm, criminal association and illegal possession of war material.
