The president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Minister Cármen Lúcia, stated this Thursday (29) that the electoral schedule on radio and TV will be a space for the democratic exercise of information. The statement was made during the opening of the TSE session on the morning of this Thursday (29).
The free electoral time slot starts this Friday (30) and runs until October 3, three days before the first round. The time slots will be divided into propaganda blocks for the candidates for mayor. Candidates for city councilor will not have time in the electoral time slot.

The electoral schedule will be broadcast on radio stations from 7:00 a.m. to 7:10 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 12:10 p.m. On television, the electoral propaganda will be broadcast from 1:00 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. to 8:40 p.m. The candidates for mayor will also be entitled to inserts during the daily programming.
The first round of elections will be held on October 6. The second round of the dispute may be held on October 27 in municipalities with more than 200,000 voters, in which none of the candidates for mayor receives more than half of the valid votes, excluding blank and void votes, in the first round.
