Rain, which has been increasing from moderate to heavy, accompanied by thunder and gusts of wind, is what has been experienced since mid-morning in different parts of the Dominican Republic, as predicted by the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), due to a tropical wave located between the central and western parts of the country.
Since early hours, Greater Santo Domingo has been covered by isolated showers and thunderstorms that have intensified their force.
In Constanza, the sky darkened, lightning took center stage, and the force of the wind and trees created a strong gale that was capable of destroying some greenhouses and stripping the zinc from various structures.

Weather forecasters say they are still monitoring an area of showers with thunderstorms, associated with an area of low pressure in the waters of the Central Atlantic Ocean.
They also noted that this phenomenon has a low probability of forming in the next 48 hours, while for the next seven days it has a 40% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.
