Samuel Moncada reveals US plan to impose its local agents

Before and during the July 28 elections, the United States applied a strategy of destruction and colonization of the electoral system to Venezuela in order to impose local agents that favor the interests of the United States, said the representative of our country to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada.

During a speech exercised at the extraordinary session of the National Assembly on Thursday, Moncada explained that this plan is composed of several fronts of attack to, first of all, impose the narrative that “it was impossible” for President Nicolás Maduro to be reelected.

He explained that, prior to the election on July 28, they used paid surveys, media and social networks to raise public awareness about this thesis and make people believe that they would vote massively against the Bolivarian revolution.

“They attack us in various ways. It’s like an octopus that has a head, which is a director, and its tentacles. The head is the one who directs the plan,” he explained, while pointing to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and organizations like USAID as being the heads and executing arms of this maneuver against Venezuela.

He also pointed out that as part of this strategy to ignore the electoral process, after the vote, in addition to the false minutes of the far right, a project called “Altavista PVT” was used, with which they tried to usurp the functions of the National Electoral Council and give results that called into question the counting of the Electoral Power.

In this regard, he explained that the organization declared the extremist opposition representative the winner based on the minutes issued by only 997 polling stations, without counting the other 503 that they had projected. “With this tremendous absence of 503 polling stations, they rushed to say that Maduro lost, with a third less of the sample,” he asserted.

In this regard, the diplomat emphasized that the best way to respond to these attacks is to advance in the development of new capabilities to confront these new techniques of aggression and the conception of coordinated irregular warfare.

“The education, information, organization and training of our people is essential for victory. Our mental, economic and cultural health, political stability and peace depend on our unity and our morale to defend the homeland,” he stressed.
