The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, held a meeting on Wednesday with the former Foreign Minister of Colombia, Alvaro Leyva, at the Miraflores Palace, reported through social networks.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil.
During the meeting, they analyzed “global geopolitics and the great challenges of our region. Unity, brotherhood, cooperation and peace among peoples is and will always be the way forward,” said the head of state.
The national leader has highlighted the cooperation with the Republic of Colombia, for which he values the contributions from that nation. In this regard, he expressed during his participation in the XI Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty, “we have many friends in Colombia, many people who love us in Colombia. Those who dare, as they have dared from Colombia, to try to attack Venezuela, our friends will protect us. They will continue to protect us.”
In this regard, he stressed that friends in Colombia “are willing to do anything, because peace in Venezuela is peace in Colombia.”
