The Public Prosecutor's Office will issue a third summons to Edmundo González

The Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) will issue a third and final summons to former candidate Edmundo González Urrutia and, if he does not attend, the Attorney General’s Office will announce the corresponding action, reported the head of the criminal action, Tarek William Saab.

“According to the jurisprudence of the Criminal Court, a person may be summoned up to three times as a suspect to give statements in an ongoing case against this person,” explained the Attorney General.

However, in this case, if former candidate Edmundo González Urrutia does not attend a final summons, the MP will announce the corresponding action, warned prosecutor Saab.

Tarek William Saab wondered who this subject was who intended to disobey the laws, while drawing the attention of some international media by showing a falsified reality “because if the CNE was good at getting Edmundo González to register with several cards with his face, with table witnesses, now that the governing body gives a result, he prefers to disregard and challenge that institution,” he said.

He stressed that it is impressive that a page purchased on Amazon where supposed votes and forged minutes were posted is actually good. “Results that do not exist were posted there, a page that does not exist, where dead people voted and people who voted for Maduro appear to be voting for him (Edmundo González),” he stressed.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, made a new recognition of the work carried out in favor of justice and human rights by Attorney General Tarek William Saab, during the meeting with the Communes and general assessment of the Second National Popular Consultation.

“We have a Prosecutor’s Office, a recognized and active Public Ministry, headed by an honorable lawyer, constituent and defender of human rights, such as the poet Tarek William Saab, who gives prestige to the Venezuelan Republican Moral Council,” said Maduro, recognizing the work of prosecutor Saab and also valuing the importance of the Republican Moral Council as the third national Public Power.

Social events have served more than 1,515,358 people

Prosecutor Saab reviewed the social events carried out by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and reported that to date 1,515,358 citizens have been served in the last 7 years. “This deserves applause because this type of direct attention to our people is unprecedented, and I have to highlight this in every review we make,” he said.

He said that through the street campaigns, approximately 58 thousand people have been served. “A large part of these are criminal complaints, complaints that merit legal advice,” he said.

Saab reported that most of the complaints are for “disturbance, illegal occupation of buildings, injuries, theft, gender violence and appropriation.” However, the MP is responding promptly to these cases, thus providing guidance to citizens nationwide.
