To extinguish the outbreaks, 11 aerial means were arranged, including four hydrant planes, and the deployment of resources and mitigation tasks were intensified.
Likewise, the Government specified that the national and provincial authorities explained that the drought, the high temperatures and some logistical difficulties interfere in the process of fighting the fires.
According to official data, 785,238 hectares have been burned to date, which represents nine percent of the surface of the provincial territory. Currently, 17 active fire sources are registered, while the most affected places are the departments of Ituzaingó, San Miguel, and Santo Tomé, in Corrientes.
