The Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) captured Gregory Hernández (48), who is responsible for the femicide of Mayra Ivonne Andrade Mendieta (45), an event that occurred this Sunday, August 25 in the Mar de Plata sector of Los Frailes de Catia, Sucre parish of Caracas.
According to the police report, the murderer was the victim’s partner, whom he beat to death after a heated argument over jealousy.
That day the couple was celebrating Andrade’s birthday with some of her relatives.
Later, both of them went back to their home, where the argument began and Gregory accused his partner of having been unfaithful. For this reason, he hit her in various parts of her body until the victim fell to the floor without vital signs.
The man was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in compliance with the security policies implemented by the Venezuelan scientific police.
