The President of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén, reaffirmed his support for the Minister of the Interior, Juan Jose Santivañezand assured that the case is in the Public Prosecutor’s Office: “That is the instance where it has to be aired.”
As we recall, an audio recording was released in which Santiváñez’s voice can be heard stating that, in order to become minister, President Dina Boluarte asked him to deactivate the DIVIAC. However, Adrianzén assured that the Minister of the Interior will continue in office.
“(In) what corresponds to the Executive Branch, he will continue in office,” he said.
He also said that the ministers and he, as chief of staff, are in “permanent evaluation” of the president.

The statements were made at the exit of the III International Congress on Flagrancy, in which the president of the Judiciary also participated, Javier Arevalo.
QUESTIONING THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE
“The Attorney General has said that he is not our friend. So, in these conditions, I believe that in this climate we cannot fight against organized crime,” he said.
However, the Prime Minister called for unity among institutions and invoked the previous message from the President of the Judiciary, who was at his side.
Adrianzén said that the National Police capture criminals, but that they are later released by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
“What bothers me? That the National Police, every day, is concerned with capturing criminals and we watch with horror and indignation as they immediately release them, and that is intolerable,” he said.
