Former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia failed to comply on Tuesday with the second summons he had before the Attorney General’s Office, by not appearing as dictated by a circular issued by the Public Ministry (MP) on August 26.
The summons, from the 58th Prosecutor’s Office with full national jurisdiction, indicates that the citizen whose identity card number is V-2.029.003, was to appear on August 27 at 10 in the morning, in order to give an interview in relation to the facts that the Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating related to the publication and maintenance of the website resultsconvzla.comfor the alleged commission of the crimes of usurpation of functions, forgery of public documents, incitement to disobedience of the law, computer crimes, criminal association and conspiracy,” states part of the summons number 2.
It also indicates that it is related to the criminal case identified with file MP-138657-2024.
It should be noted that the former candidate also did not attend the first summons on August 26, to give a statement regarding the aforementioned events, which could lead to criminal sanctions, according to Venezuelan laws.
González Urrutia recently published an audiovisual material on his X account, where he made it clear that “I am not going to appear before the summons of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.”
